| Biography: | Dr. Emily Riggs has been with Middle Georgia State University since 2021, initially serving as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program and currently as a faculty member in the MSOT program. Prior to joining the MSOT faculty at MGA, she served as adjunct faculty in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Chattahoochee Technical College.Dr. Riggs brings extensive clinical experience in occupational therapy, with a primary focus in pediatrics, and holds Board Certification in Pediatrics through the American Occupational Therapy Association. Her clinical practice includes work in adult and pediatric outpatient and acute care, school systems, early intervention, pediatric critical care (NICU and PICU), and both pediatric and adult mental health settings. Dr. Riggs earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in 2000 and later completed her post-professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Belmont University in 2003. |
