| Biography: | Erin Single is an Assistant Professor of Digital Art at Middle Georgia State University. She began her career in strategy consulting and later pivoted to a creative field, working as a graphic designer in the beauty and travel industries. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Arts and New Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where her thesis research was about lithium mining. She continues her interdisciplinary artistic research about the physical minerals necessary for digital media and works with video, sound, installation, and performance in her practice. Her work has been shown at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, and she has participated in an art-science residency at the Kenneth S. Norris Center for Natural History in California. She completed her foundational art and design studies and a certificate in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and she also has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she has lived overseas in Zurich, Switzerland, Berlin, Germany, and Lima, Peru. |
