Biography: Brandi L. Williams, Ed.S. is a dedicated educator and literacy professional with more than 13 years of experience in K–12 education. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, special education teacher and case manager, instructional coach, and structured literacy coach. Prior to joining Middle Georgia State University, Williams served the Bibb County School District, most recently as a Structured Literacy Coach supporting K–3 teachers with evidence-based literacy practices. Her work has included facilitating professional learning, supporting collaborative planning, analyzing student data, and helping educators translate research into meaningful classroom instruction. She has also served as a local facilitator for Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS), strengthening her commitment to the science of reading and high-quality literacy instruction. Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Middle Georgia State University and a Master of Education in Reading, Language, and Literacy. She also holds an Education Specialist degree. Returning to Middle Georgia State University as a Lecturer in the Department of Teacher Education and Social Work represents a meaningful full-circle moment in her career. A Macon native, Williams enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughters, serving her community, and creating meaningful memories with her family. She believes educators have the power to inspire, empower, and shape what is possible for the next generation.
