All students and all majors are welcome!
The MGA Writing Center is a free service that provides one-on-one consultations to assist students with all types of writing. Our consultants provide feedback and use different strategies to help students improve their writing.
MGA Writing Centers are open for face-to-face and video-conferencing options in Macon and Cochran. Video conferences are available for the Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins campuses.

Writing Center Services
Writing Center services include:
- Providing Feedback
- Offering suggestions for improvement
- Explaining concepts in grammar and documentation (MLA, APA, Chicago, ASPA, ETC.)
- Supplying resources to improve writing
- Offering guidance on research papers
- Providing anti-plagiarism guidance
Writing Center consultants are unable to:
- Write papers for students
- “Proofread” whole papers
- Interpret the writing assignment given by a professor

Q. How much does it cost to use the Writing Center?
A. Nothing. The Writing Center services are free.
Q. Is the Writing Center for English classes only?
A. The Writing Center offers help to all students and all majors with writing assignments.
Q. What should I bring to the online consultation?
A. Any items that may be useful during the tutoring session (rubrics, outlines, rough draft, computer, etc.)
Q: Why isn’t my log-in working?
A: The login password is not the same as D2L. You may already have an account and password if you have ever booked an appointment with the Student Success Center, Online Advising, the Modern Language Resource Center, or the MARC.
If you can’t remember your password there is a “reset password link” at the bottom of the scheduling appointment page.
