Biography: James Brock is an instructor of mathematics at Middle Georgia State University, where he teaches courses in calculus. He brings both classroom expertise and a deep passion for helping students develop confidence in problem-solving and critical thinking.

Mr. Brock earned his Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Chemistry from Mercer University and his Master’s in Applied Mathematics from Auburn University. He has over a decade of teaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level. In addition to his role at Middle Georgia State, he teaches Advanced Placement Calculus, Advanced Placement Precalculus, and the History of Mathematics at the high school level.

His research and professional interests focus on mathematics education, equitable access to advanced coursework, and supporting underrepresented students in STEM fields. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education, with a dissertation centered on program evaluation and educational equity.
