Teaching and Research Interests: TEACHING PHILOSOPHY AND MY TEACHING GAOLS
Mathematics is the building block of a successful society. Thus, preparing students well versed in mathematics is essential.
Students need to be well taught, in order to reach the expected level of knowledge at the end of the semester, and should be given a solid foundation for their future higher Math courses. To reach this goal, students need to be motivated and kept motivated.
MOTIVATING STUDENTS
Most times, students in our math classrooms tend to have different backgrounds, my role as a teacher is multifaceted. To make sure that I reach my students, I detail the concepts, and I encourage every student to ask questions. I am always ready, and willing to go back over a concept, if some students do not understand the concept that is being introduced.
PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO MY STUDENTS
I tell my students that if they have any questions about the course's material to come during my office hours so that I can assist them. I provide strategies, and learning techniques that lead them to a better understanding of the course material.
BUILDING MY STUDENTS CONFIDENCE
For various reasons students have had difficulties studying mathematics. Some are not confident, and others find Mathematics to be a very difficult subject. In order to build my students confidence, I employ the following steps:
1. I present the material in a clear and concise manner. Make sure that students are aware of what is expected of them.
2. For each topic presented I ask questions and encourage them to respond. Then, I encourage them to ask questions. This makes each lecture an interactive presentation where students are engaged.
4. For each concept introduced in class, I start with the simple easy to understand case to the more challenging.
5. I provide students with sample tests a least week before each exam. I make my math courses an enjoyable experience for my students.
SUCCESS IS A MORAL BUILDER
When students understand the material, in class or after getting some assistance out of class during office hours, after completing the sample test, if students perform well on assignments, and on tests, then, they will know exactly what to do to prepare for future assessments

My Research Interests include:
Statistics, Statistical Modeling, Parameters estimation, Mathematical Statistics, Software Reliability, Creating new Probability Distributions, Teaching and Learning, and Undergraduate Research.
