| Teaching and Research Interests: | In Psychology 1101, I emphasize mental health literacy, foundational theories, and evidence-based interventions, while also highlighting positive psychology and the skills that support wellbeing and resilience. My aim is to make psychological science approachable and useful so students leave the course with concepts they can recognize in everyday behavior, relationships, and decision-making. My research interests focus on therapy outcomes and recovery following medical trauma, with particular attention to how earlier life trauma can shape coping, engagement in treatment, and the healing process. I am especially interested in the ways trauma histories may complicate recovery and how supportive, trauma-informed approaches can strengthen outcomes over time. |
