| Biography: | Dr. Rebecca M. Gee, PhD, MSN, RN, is an Associate Professor and Simulation Coordinator in the Department of Nursing at Middle Georgia State University. A registered nurse with more than three decades of clinical, academic, and simulation‑based education experience, Dr. Gee is recognized for her expertise in clinical reasoning development, high‑fidelity simulation, dementia education, and the integration of emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence—into nursing curricula. In addition to her academic and research roles, Dr. Gee is deeply committed to professional service. She has served in leadership positions within the Georgia Simulation Alliance, contributed to the Georgia Association for Nursing Education, and supported interdisciplinary simulation initiatives across healthcare programs. Her community service includes volunteering as a simulated patient, providing consultation in simulation center development, and offering specialized expertise in dementia education and wound care. |

| Teaching and Research Interests: | Dr. Gee’s research interests center on clinical reasoning, simulation pedagogy, and dementia education, as well as the use of artificial intelligence to enhance simulation design, evaluation, and instructional efficiency. She has been awarded and contributed to several grants related to simulation and dementia care training, including a funded NLN research award examining the effectiveness of combining e‑learning modules with the Virtual Dementia Tour®. |

Her doctoral work examined the impact of high‑fidelity patient simulation on clinical reasoning in undergraduate nursing students, laying the foundation for her ongoing scholarly focus on optimizing learning outcomes through immersive, evidence‑based simulation practices. |
