A Statement of Goals video is required for applying to the Doctor of Science in Information Technology program.

Video Requirements

  • Length: 3 to 5 minutes (max 5 minutes)
  • Format: a video link (such as an unlisted YouTube video link)
  • Subject: must exclusively feature the applicant's voice and likeness
  • No artificial intelligence can be used in the rendering or creation of this video

  1. Reflect on how this degree will support your academic and professional goals
  2. Express your interest in the program
  3. Discuss your specific research aspirations and interests

Faculty will be assessing the video for your enthusiasm, personality, communication, and presentation skills.

Submit Your Video

Your Statement of Goals video must be uploaded as a video link (such as an unlisted YouTube video link, recommended). Copy the video's share link and paste it on the Statement of Goals Video Submission form:

The committee will not be sharing the videos or using the videos beyond the application process.

The committee, upon reviewing the video, will utilize transcription software that is publicly available to create a transcript recording of the video, and that transcript will be housed by the Department of Information Technology and the Office of Graduate Admissions for archival purposes.
