Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan -- allows authorized users to obtain borrowed or copied materials not available in the Middle Georgia State Library collections. Patrons not currently affiliated with Middle Georgia State University are not eligible. Books not available in USG libraries and journal articles are requested for you by our interlibrary loan personnel. Please note: textbooks cannot be ordered through interlibrary loan.

Articles - Journal Articles will be sent to the patron's MGA email address.

Books - Undergraduate students may request up to 25 books at any one time through interlibrary loan.  Masters students may request up to 40 books and Doctoral students my request up to 60 at any one time.  Books usually take from 1 to 2 weeks (sometimes more) to arrive and the loan period and renewals are determined by the lending institution.Textbooks cannot be requested. Borrowers are responsible for overdue charges ($1.00/day) and for replacement costs of lost items.

Books that are in the circulating collection of any USG library can be borrowed directly by the patron through their GIL account using the GIL Express service.
