About the Program
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (BSP) offers students the opportunity to explore the science of behavior and the mind. The degree prepares students for graduate-level study and various professional positions in business, law, and health care. With the guidance of an academic advisor, students can choose electives to focus on future professional goals.
Our faculty at Middle Georgia State University (MGA) includes teacher-scholars who seek to educate our majors using the latest theories, research, and applications in the behavioral sciences. The BSP program produces graduates who can make meaningful connections between textbook theory and real-world applications.
The BSP program emphasizes a comprehensive approach to understanding behavior, ranging from biological, developmental, and clinical perspectives to social, cultural, and applied analyses.

"Faculty genuinely care about students. I was told this before applying, but I did not understand the magnitude of this statement. Many of our instructors seem interested in cultivating greatness in students who show promise or express some passion in their career objectives."
