We’re just days away from spring commencement exercises — among the most meaningful and celebratory moments in higher education. For our 770+ Spring graduates, crossing that stage is a proud achievement and a powerful step into the next chapter of their lives.
For our Foundation, commencement is a moment of reflection and gratitude. Each graduate’s success story is connected to you - our generous donors. Your support helps make that walk across the platform possible for many students at MGA. Through your investment - reflected in the 649 scholarships awarded this last year; the GAP funding; the student emergency assistance and more — students are able to pursue their academic goals, overcome financial barriers, and access opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach.
The impact of your generosity extends well beyond graduation day. Our alumni leave MGA equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in today’s workforce. They contribute as professionals, innovators, and leaders - strengthening our communities and driving economic growth across the region. April has been a reflection of that impact in action, keeping our Foundation team busy in the best ways. We hosted our 12th Annual Knights Golf Tournament at The Brickyard for the first time. With both morning and afternoon flights fully engaged — and a delicious Texas Roadhouse lunch in between — the event brought together friends and supporters in true Knight spirit. Thanks to the leadership of our presenting sponsor, Ortho Georgia, along with the many sponsors listed below, the tournament raised over $95,000 to support our student-athletes. These funds directly enhance opportunities for our athletes and reinforce the strong connection between philanthropy and student success. On April 23rd, we gathered for the President’s Circle Reception to celebrate donors who give $1,000 and more annually. This group represents a powerful force for impact - creating opportunities that truly change the trajectory of students’ lives and, in many cases, the lives of their families for generations to come.
