The Middle Georgia State University Foundation proudly honors graduates who have reached significant milestones in academics, professional achievements, and community service. Each year, the Outstanding Alumnus Award is presented to a distinguished MGA graduate. Know someone who embodies the spirit and success of MGA?

How to Submit a Nomination

  2. Email the completed form to , or print the completed form and mail it to:

Eligibility & criteria

  • Nominee has distinguished him/herself in either an occupation or career
  • Nominee has demonstrated leadership
  • Nominee has demonstrated a commitment to the community
  • Nominee has earned a degree from MGA (or a prior iteration of MGA)
  • Nominee (if selected) is available to attend the President’s Gala on Friday, October 23
  • Nominations will be considered for up to two years
  • The selected individual can only be awarded once in a lifetime
  • Faculty & staff, and current Alumni Association board members are not eligible
  • Nominees running for or elected to a political office are not eligible
