Respiratory Therapy

Welcome to the Department of Respiratory Therapy! We want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our profession and programs here at Middle Georgia State University. We offer two degree programs:

The Respiratory Therapy Bachelor of Science entry-level program, which prepares you to become a Respiratory Therapist, is slated to accept is first class beginning Fall 2018 and is accepting applications now. Once accepted into the program, it is five semesters in length, and upon completion, awards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Sixty credit hours of prerequisite course work is required prior to entering the program and our faculty will advise you through this entire process.

BS Entry-Level Program Application Information & Checklist

We also have a Bachelor of Science Completion Program for NBRC credentialed Respiratory Therapists with an AS or AAS Respiratory Therapy degree to complete their B.S. in Respiratory Therapy while also working within the field. This program is partially online, allowing students to come to campus once per month and complete all other RT coursework online. Our RT faculty is committed to student success and eager to assist you toward your future career.
