The Office of Legal Affairs provides legal counsel, compliance support, and strategic guidance to Middle Georgia State University across its five campuses in Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins.

As MGA’s in-house legal office, we partner with University leaders, faculty, and staff to address legal and regulatory issues, manage institutional risk, and advance the University’s academic and operational priorities.

Our work spans the full range of issues facing a public university, including contracts, governance and policy, employment, student affairs, Title IX and nondiscrimination, regulatory compliance, open records, litigation, intellectual property, athletics, privacy, and emerging legal issues.

Our approach is practical, collaborative, and solutions-focused. We aim to identify legal risks early, help University decision-makers understand their options, and develop responsible paths forward that support MGA’s mission.

The Office represents Middle Georgia State University as an institution and provides legal advice to University employees acting in their official capacities.
