MSOT Program Fast Facts

  • Bridge program for Occupational Therapy Assistants – Overall length is 7 sequential semesters, including Level II Fieldwork (28 months total).
  • Bachelor’s degree is not required for admission, however applicants must have completed 84 semester credit hours (including OTA courses and 12 credit hours of prerequisite courses).
  • Cohorts begin annually in the Fall semester.
  • Classes are offered in a hybrid online/weekend format (see technology requirements and Frequently Asked Questions).
  • Weekend component will typically be on the Cochran campus approximately once per month (occasionally will be in a location other than Cochran).
  • Final two semesters consist of two 12-week (total of 24 weeks) Level II Fieldwork experiences in a minimum of two different settings.
  • All fieldwork must be completed within 18 months of completion of the didactic portion of the program.
  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) degree awarded by Middle Georgia State University.
